In his most recent music video, Quavo joins loved ones to light up the sky in honour of Takeoff.
The group, dressed in Takeoff-themed t-shirts, releases lanterns into the sky in a video for the song “Hold Me,” which honours the deceased rapper. The song’s reflective lyrics are playing in the background as the group performs the scene. In the second half of the video, the former member of the Migos keeps moving forward while expressing thanks. Rapper performs in front of large throngs of admirers while taking over Paris.
The song “Hold Me” is off Quavo’s most recent album, Rocket Power, his second as a solo artist. Takeoff contributes two posthumous verses to the album, along with verses from Future, Young Thug, and others.
According to a press release, Rocket Power examines via 18 songs the feelings and ideas that the “Workin Me” performer had, as well as the impact that his cherished nephew’s memories and energy had on him when he was creating the album.
